Filippo Andreatta

Professor, University of Bologna

Filippo Andreatta is Professor of Political Science at the University of Bologna, where he teaches International Politics and Strategic Studies, and Visiting Professor at the School of International Studies of the University of Trento. He is Director of the Research Project on International Politics and Conflict Resolution of the Bruno Kessler Foundation. Previously, he has held teaching appointments at the University of Parma, the Bologna Center of Johns Hopkins University's Paul Nitze School of Advanced and International Studies and Bocconi University.

He has written extensively on the subjects of collective security, international order, the causes of wars and Italian and European foreign policies. He is author of 4 monographs, coauthor of a handbook on international relations theory (currently adopted by 15 Italian universities) and has edited two books. He is also author of more than 80 articles in journals or book chapters in Italian or English.
