Cinzia Bevitori

Associate Professor, University of Bologna

Cinzia Bevitori is Associate Professor of English Linguistics at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Bologna, School of Political Science – Forlì Campus. Her main research interests are in the field of corpus-assisted discourse analysis, within the framework of systemic functional linguistics (SFL), and critical discourse analysis (CDA). She has mostly published on institutional discourse, focusing in particular on political and media discourse, both from synchronic and diachronic perspectives.

Among her most recent publications are 'Values, Assumptions and Beliefs in British Newspaper Editorial Coverage of Climate Change, in Contemporary Critical Discourse Studies' in Contemporary Critical Discourse Studies (Bloomsbury Academic, 2014) and 'Discursive Constructions of the Environment in Presidential Speeches 1960-2013: A Diachronic Corpus-Assisted Study', in Corpora and Discourse Studies (Palgrave, 2015).
